Finishing early has its downsides...
Here I sit in my CCNA class, finished my work, and waiting to move on. So, I pop on by and see people on, but I see no new activity. Someone do something interesting! I require entertainment! Actually, complaining is enough entertainment in itself.
But, what do I do when I'm finished complaining? Would I... complain more? One would think the entertainment value would diminish exponentially, at least one would be afraid of such.
Oh, hey! Work to do. You've been spared.
For now.

You alright, Matt?
(psst, hey guys, this one needs a padded room!)
Re: Finishing early has its downsides...
Padded room? Me? Surely you jest, sir!
If something new didn't happen in class, I might've needed a rubber room. Boredom is a dangerous foe.
Re: Finishing early has its downsides...
How come when I went to college I never had any classes that let me putz around online after I'd finished my work? Even in my web design class, where I was sitting in front of an internet-ready computer and I was always the first one done with whatever work we'd been assigned, my professor wouldn't let me browse the internet in general.
Incidentally, that class was a farce. Apparently someone forgot to put some sort of HTML prerequisite for the class, so there were maybe two of us there who actually knew how to code a website, and the rest of them had to be walked through everything (and they still didn't learn). Meanwhile, there were two of us rolling our eyes and wondering when we were going to actually learn some principles of web design, instead of writing header and body tags all day.
Re: Finishing early has its downsides...
What sort of person takes a web design class without knowing at least a little about HTML? Information on HTML is so easy to find I'd imagine someone with enough interest to register for a course would have already done at least a little research. Silly monkeys.
